A horrific road accident has happened in Katihar. Four youths died tragically in a head on collision between two bikes near Kumaripur Kajra in Manihari police station area. The four youths had gone on two bikes to Manihari Ghat to take a bath in Ganga and collect water on the third Monday of Sawan. During this time the accident happened. In this, two youths died on the spot. Two died in the hospital.
The two who died were residents of Purnia
After the incident, there was a commotion in the area. People from the surrounding area gathered. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating. The police took the bodies of the four people and sent them to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Among the dead, one bike rider was a resident of Udamarhika of Mufassil police station area of Katihar. The other two youths riding the other bike were residents of Sarsi area of Purnia.
Both bikes collided with each other
Family member Raju Kumar said that this accident happened when four youths riding a bike were going to Manihari Ganga Ghat early in the morning. Suddenly both the bikes lost control and collided with each other. The accident was so severe that two people died on the spot. Two others were immediately taken to Medical College Hospital for treatment, where both of them died.
